Victoria Gonzalez, a 6th grader at McAllen ISD's Fossum Middle School, won the 2021 Young Entrepreneur of the Year award from the McAllen Chamber of Commerce.
Victoria came up with the concept of BLING: Building Leadership in Non-Traditional Girls in September 2020. She wants to show young ladies that it is okay to step out of your comfort zone. Her ultimate goal is to show young girlsā¦and boys, that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Dream big, follow in the footsteps of those who have broken barriers, and know that you have a large support system behind you, including Victoria!
